1 deputy killed, others wounded in Colorado Springs shooting

One deputy was killed and two other police officers wounded in Colorado Springs after a reported shooting on Monday.

The officer was corroborated dead by Fox 21 News.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office corroborated the incident was an “officer-involved shooting, ” and Fox 31 Denver reported that a suspect is “down.”

Both the city’s fire and police departments are on “priority dispatch statue” because of the incident, which the Colorado Springs communication center described as “critical.”

The sherff’s office tweeted government departments is working on the “active scene” and will only respond to emergency and in progress calls.

Springs Police tweeted, “All suspects are accounted for” in the incident, and will continue to update.
